About NOIR
NOIR is an ongoing serie inspired by classic film noir, detective stories and jazz.
Every piece is named after a classic jazz song selected to match the art piece perfectly or drawn entirely while listening to the song.
Each of the ladies in NOIR are telling a story behind the curtains, a story you decide. NOIR portrays a stillness in time that shines light from different angles for every observer.
It originated as a study on creating depth and narrative, with minimal amount of colors, different perspectives and angles of light, while appreciating the female form in a contemporary film noir setting.
The series consists of thematic triptychs, maintaining a consistent presence of a main character, interior setting, elements of nature, and intimate moments.
